Overview

Endoscopic incision of the bladder neck for primary bladder neck obstruction or small prostates.

Indications

Primary bladder neck obstruction, small prostate (<30g), young patients.

Procedure Details

One or two incisions are made at the bladder neck using electrocautery to relieve obstruction.

Recovery

Usually day-case. Catheter overnight. Return to activities in 1 week.

Risks & Considerations

Retrograde ejaculation, bleeding, need for repeat procedure.
