Overview

Endoscopic resection of bladder neck tissue for obstruction not amenable to simple incision.

Indications

Bladder neck contracture, post-prostatectomy obstruction, median lobe enlargement.

Procedure Details

Obstructing bladder neck tissue is resected using a resectoscope similar to TURP technique.

Recovery

Hospital stay 1-2 days. Catheter for 1-2 days.

Risks & Considerations

Bleeding, stricture recurrence, incontinence.
