Locally advanced prostate cancer, recurrent pelvic malignancy, palliation of symptoms.
Procedure Details
Removal of bladder, prostate, rectum, and surrounding structures as indicated. Requires urinary and fecal diversions.
Recovery
Hospital stay 2-4 weeks. Prolonged recovery period of 3-6 months.
Risks & Considerations
Major bleeding, wound complications, stoma issues, prolonged ileus.
