Overview
Anastomosis of one ureter to the contralateral ureter for complex ureteric reconstruction.
Indications
Long ureteric defects, failed previous reconstruction, pelvic malignancy.
Procedure Details
The affected ureter is brought across the midline and anastomosed to the healthy contralateral ureter.
Recovery
Hospital stay 5-7 days. Stent removal in 6 weeks.
Risks & Considerations
Bilateral ureteric obstruction, stricture, urine leak.
