Overview
End-to-end anastomosis of the ureter after excision of a diseased segment.
Indications
Short ureteric strictures, ureteric injury, localized ureteric pathology.
Procedure Details
The diseased ureteric segment is excised and healthy ends are spatulated and anastomosed over a stent.
Recovery
Hospital stay 3-5 days. Stent removal in 4-6 weeks.
Risks & Considerations
Stricture recurrence, urine leak, bleeding.
